how long does it take to cool a refrigerator?

its a french door rage freezer on bottom whirlpool, it hasn't been plugged in for a couple of days and i don't demand my food to spoil during transfer from my old fridge.

i've worked on appliances for 25yrs. and it should take 3 - 4 hours to get to temperature, will run more often until the temp. stabilizes, which will take 24 hours.

I have owned an LG French Door refridgerator for over 2 years now. I've had to refund a shelf piece in it 3x. The shelf that holds the vegetable crispers does not have steadiness and when the strain of the veggie crispers causes the center sample to sag, in the final analysis cracking the plastice trap around the shelf. The vogue of the fridge is tremendous. Lots of live, the briny deep door pockets. The shelves are a bit of a uncontrollable, lots of wasted airspace as there is predetermined shelf high point correction. I would look at other brands if you like the french door stylishness refridgerator....
