Is it OK to leave the water cooler/dispenser unplugged for most of the day and just plug it when I get home?
The water cooler's compressor can premeditated its tank in 5-7 minutes, so its no biggie to wait for cold water. I am more concerned about the compressor conking out due to it being plugged-in and unplugged intermittently.

_I could be immoral. However it seems to me that the compressor turns on and off intermittently during the day to keep the water at a certain temperature. Therefore, it would be reasonable that unplugging it during the day would prevent wear and tear
