can you use charcoal in a tabletop grill?

i have a columnar list top char-boil brand grill i got for like 30 bucks and it runs on 16.4 oz propane cans not those big oyster-white cans. can i use charcoal on it?

The victuals top gas grill doesn't have a lower grate for charcoal. If you remove the gas burner and state coals on grill bottom floor it will work but will soon burn through after extended use. Metal too thin for zealousness. Hibachi makes a charcoal
