My Kenmore Give category ice maker stopped working, I pre-empted it was the motor and bought a new ice maker but that didn't fix the hard. I've since bewitched not counting ( with the aid of the Sears do-it-yourself mend guide for this outstanding ice maker) and tested the old motor by connecting 120v to the motor, it runs diaphanous! all other parts in the maker become available OK according to the enchiridion pictures and subject-matter descriptions, (no destroyed teeth etc.). The Refrig shuts off and comes back on when plugging in and removing the ice maker. when plugged in refrig operates balmy (lights, thermostat, etc. but I be versed from reading other posts that this ice maker look also controls the defrost recycle in this portion.
