can any coffee pot replace a gevalia one?

I have a gevalia coffee pot (the one that comes spontaneous when you buy $15 dollars worth of coffee), but the decanter broke. I'm wondering if any ol' coffee pot can put in place of the broken one, or do I have to have the exact same decanter?

You presumably could, but you will not be able to take the carafe out while it is still dripping because you will loose the auto off quirk, which is located on the top of the lid of the old carafe.
