Coffee makers that will give me a good european style cup of coffee?

Im and american and i be loath american coffee. Its way too weak and the quality is terrible. In recent trips to europe i had many consummate cups of coffee and cant find anythign like it at home. Im looking to devote up to $200.

I like garish coffee too. I use the Toddy coffee maker and it works great.
