India-based coffee retail limit Café Coffee Day (CCD) has unveiled new range of coffee machines, CoffeeDay Wakecup, aimed at consumers who would like to attack their own coffee at home, at the India International Coffee Red-letter day in Delhi.
CoffeeDay Wakecup was developed in China using an Italian technology, whereas the capsules for the machine are made in India.
The machine includes a withdraw frother that will help the consumers make their own cappuccino by providing foamy topping of out. The machine also dispenses shots of Espresso.
The machine is capable of producing two novel flavors of coffee in 30 seconds and comes in two variants including semi-self-regulating and automatic in four different colors.
The semi-automatic machine will be within reach at a price of INR3,999 ($79) and the automatic model will be available at a cost of INR4,999 ($99.5) across all 1125 CCD cafes and 900 Express outlets in three to four months.
CCD COO Venu Madhav said the choose-serve capsule or refill will be available in two flavors, Holdings blend and Pure Arabica blend, at a price of INR10 ($0.19) and INR15 ($0.29) apiece, singly.
