what the heck is bisque, as in lobster bisqu or mushroom bisque soup?
I've had them but I don't honestly know exactly what bisque is.
Bisque is a thick creamy soup. It is mainly served in fancy restaurants in some ultra expensive raise such as Lobster or Abalone (the Abalone Bisque at the Sardine Factory (either in or away Carmel, CA I'm not sure) is the best I have ever had).
