Tips on preparing a stoneware slow cooker before its first use?

I was excellent a Hamilton Beach Meal Maker® 5 Quart Slow Cooker:

Aside from washing it out, is there anything I should to prepare the stoneware

Nothing is obligatory to prep it. For reference, I would set it on high heat and see how effective it is at browning, because this is critical for recipe choices.

If your streetwise, you will blockage aweay from this grill. We purchased this thing 3 months ago and within one week, the timer stopped working. The rope does not arrive out the back like 99% of appliances but as an alternative comes out the bottom, in the front. Grease from grilling does not all go into the conduit cup but leaks to somewhere centre. It does not show until you work up the grill (after cleaning) on its side and then about a half cup of old grease drains onto the piece top. This is a sick built appliance and if you are apt, you will leave alone it. Ours wwent into the scraps bag in less then 90 days.

The Hamilton Beach Elaborate Promote Grill is a skilful, indulgent-to-use and uncomplicated-to tidy cabal.
